citibank india crappy service : customer review suvidha saving account

i have a citibank india suvidha saving bank account for past 6 years (2004-2009). here are a few rants about there service and why i feel no one should open an account with them :

. marketing calls : i have been getting these marketing calls from citibank for past six years. given that every time i get a marketing call i raise a complaint with citibank this tells their attitude towards disturbing their cutomers with unsolicitated calls - "no matter what we will disturb you"

. charging without knowledge : fortunately i check my saving account status online every now and then. one fine day i notice a charge of Rs.250/- from citibank. i called them up and i was told that some service has been added to my account without before asking me. This has been done to all citibank customers. Expectation is if some customer does not want the service they will call and ask us to stop the service! but by default it will be enabled for all accounts and all will be charged Rs 250/- every month untill (they notice it) and tell us they dont want it.
What a crappy way of extracting money from customers!!!

. raising minimum account balance limit to unreasonable level : after holding a suvidha account the citibank for 6 years (and a platinum card), on fine day i receive this email from citibank saying now i have to maintain a minimum daily average account balance of Rs 25,000/- in my suvidha account. if for any month the average daily balance falls from Rs 25,000/- i will be charged Rs 200/- for the month.
Nice way to thank and appreciate a 6 year old customer!!

. Do not avail Citibank India's any service
